MAY 2012 LODGE NEWS & HAPPENINGS

Lorne McIntosh, Bruce Irwin, Roy (Gilligan) Gilmar, Ed Stairs and Braiden Stairs attended the District 14 Meeting in Pincher Creek on Sunday, April 22.

Don't forget the Meat and 50/50 Draw - every Saturday at 5:00 pm. Hot Dogs and Light meals are also available.

May 31, 2011 - $50 to support Kids play area at Marysville Daze

May 21, 2011 - $2000 Scholarship presented to Selkirk graduate Miranda Hambrook

Feb 18, 2011 - $800 donated to Healthart society to bring professional performers to long-term care residents in Kimberley

June 30, 2011 - $380 to purchase an oversize chess set for the Platzl chess-checker board.  The board area has been in constant use since the pieces arrived. Pick them up from the Natural Attraction shop if you are interested in having a game.

July 2, 2011 - $2000 to the Kimberley Gymnastic Club from our highly successful electric scooter raffle. All 400 tickets were sold with help from the Gymnastics Club. Terri Nash won the scooter.

July 20, 2011 - $500 for the Kimberley Seahorse Swim Club, who used the money to host a swim meet on July 23 & 24th at the Kimberley Aquatic Centre. Teams from all over the Kootenay region attended the event.

October, 2011 - $500 to support the North Star Figure Skaters.

October, 2011 - $500 to support the Kimberley Dynamiters Historic Wall of Fame Project.

November, 2011 - $1000 to the Elks Purple Cross fund in honour of Andrew Julius Johnston.

November, 2011 - $500 to Colin Ferrie to help with Colin's training for the National team. Colin is very close to qualifying and we are continuing to monitor his progress.

January 2012 - $1000 to the Selkirk Girl's Volleyball team.

January 2012 - $400 to Kimberley Rotary for new Rotary Park signage.

January 2012 - $800 to Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy to support family literacy programs in Kimberley.

March, 2011 - $500 to assist the Purcell Soccer field project.
